Hi, welcome to Honey Hone Scents. Firstly, I’d like to introduce the maker behind the brand. My name is Maddie and I am a young mum to 2 little boys, from the south coast in the Uk. Beehive melts started as a hobby to pass the time during my maternity leave with my first son as I suddenly had a lot of spare time and nothing to do! I’ve always been a creative person but could never find anything I enjoyed enough to stick to. Wax melts are a product I have used myself for many years as I personally prefer them to candles, so I decided to spend a bit of money (that I normally would have spent buying wax melts from a store) into purchasing a little kit to make my own. I instantly fell in love with the process and discovered a whole new world! I always felt like store bought melts were so limited in scents, and couldn’t find a lot of the fragrances I desired, so when I found out I could make my own and found an oil supplier that made scents I had never even heard of before, I knew I couldn’t let this go to waste! I ended up buying so many supplies and making melts all day everyday, it became a bit of a storage problem! So, with that being said, I decided to start selling them to a few of my friends and family. Alas, Beehive Melts was born. I had strangers reaching out to me to purchase my melts after receiving them as gifts, and I found such a passion in knowing that I was the reason people’s homes smelt delicious! We have been up and running since 2021, and never looked back! We recently had a rebrand and now are known as Honey Home Scents as we have expanded our journey further than just wax melts as we now offer many types of home fragrance like room sprays, and also bath and body items such as bath bombs, soap bars, soap sponges and many more! This journey has been incredible and we can’t wait to continue. All of the wax melts you can find here on our website are handmade by me. This is a one woman band over here, so everything from the designing, making, packaging and shipping is all done by myself. Even though this means a lot of late nights, much less spare time and many many stress spots, I couldn’t be more grateful for this incredible business. There is nothing but love and care going in to every single order. We are always trying to be as eco friendly as we can, so our ingredients are all vegan, cruelty free and where possible, biodegradable (such as our glitters). Our packaging is fully recyclable and where possible, made from recycled materials. This includes everything from the bags your orders are shipped in, the boxes, tissue paper, all the stickers in and on your products, and the packaging the melts are wrapped in. We pride ourselves on being as customer involved as humanly possible. We truly believe the most important opinion is YOURS as you guys are the people actually purchasing and using these products. It’s all well and good me choosing fragrances that I personally enjoy, but that only reaches a very small target audience and puts a limit on what’s available for everyone else. That’s why we share every part of our journey over on social media.
